After studying business administration at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, Tarek began his career as an investment banker in London, working for global investment banks such as Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs and UBS. He was a founding partner of Arabesque Asset Management, an ESG Quant Fund. He then worked at Deon Digital AG, a blockchain development company, as CFO and member of the Executive Board.

Mark has been a business lawyer in Zurich since 1996, specialising in financial markets, investment funds, real estate and capital markets. In 2004 he became a recognised representative of issuers at SIX Swiss Exchange and has been a partner of a law firm (head of the banking department), served as an executive board member of the Swiss Bankers Association SBA and a member of the expert committees of business associations such as economiesuisse and SFAMA.
Christoph is a marketing and communication expert with over 15 years of experience. His career began at the first online bank in Switzerland. Today, his passion for communication puts associations, companies, and events on the map of the target group. The focus areas at Pactum include strategy, brand management, dialogue marketing and events.
Rick brings almost 30 years of experience in finance and money markets to the team and is responsible for product design and investment management at Pactum. In the 1990s, he ran trading departments in London and was responsible for one of the world's largest UK Gilt trading funds. Rick then founded his own hedge fund in Switzerland. He ran the fund for eight years and led it to over USD 15 billion in fixed income exposure. He then shifted his focus to the asset-backed space, where he was instrumental in designing the first receivables securitisation under the new ESA regulation.
Mike Johnson, CFA
Mike is a CFA charter holder with more than 15 years of experience in asset management. His career began in London, where he worked for GAM as Research Manager for their hedge funds and alternatives business. Mike has worked in Switzerland for the last 12 years covering hedge funds, private equity, private debt, and project finance strategies.
Derek has a wealth of experience and expertise in understanding financial instruments, operational procedures, and risk and compliance in portfolio management. His ability to adapt to a constantly evolving regulatory and operating environment significantly supports Pactum in structuring and managing its asset management operations.
Margaret brings more than 15 years of experience in structured legal transaction management and documentation to Pactum. She specialises in structural products and debt markets. Previously, she worked for multinational investment banks and financial services companies, gaining extensive knowledge in transaction management, negotiation, drafting, editing, interpreting and advising on various legal agreements.
Peter has spent the past 25+ years in the information and communication industry. He was also the co-founder of several successful start-ups in the big data and IT infrastructure arenas before in 2018, focussing on asset-backed lending solutions.
Anastasia earned her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Philosophy, Communications & Society in 2017 and has since worked in various industries across continents (UK, USA, EU). She brings her strong interpersonal and communication skills to support sales and build and strengthen client and investor relationships at Pactum.
Kimon has worked in the strategy and business development area at various companies. Most recently, he worked at a swiss fintech, where he found his passion for the financial industry. He is pursuing his Business Innovation master’s degree at the University of St.Gallen (HSG).
Nicolas has worked in the financial department of various companies. Most recently, he worked in an M&A Boutique in Zurich. Currently, he is pursuing the final semester of his Banking and Finance bachelor’s degree at the University of Zurich.
Board of Directors
Joscha has spent the last 15+ years in various roles and countries in the automotive and financial industry. His professional career began with Porsche in Stuttgart and led to the UK, US and Switzerland. His last position with Porsche was Director of Sales for Switzerland. In 2016, Joscha founded the asset manager that was to become Pactum.
Susanne studied at the University of St. Gallen and holds a CFA. After various positions at LGT Capital Partners and Swisscanto, she has many years of experience in fund management and high yield & European credit. In addition, she has a strong focus on sustainable investing.
Prof. Dr. Thorsten Hens
Thorsten is the Swiss Finance Institute Professor for Financial Market Economics at the University of Zurich. He studied in Bonn and Paris and holds professorships in Bergen, Norway, and Lucerne, Switzerland. His research fields are Behavioral and Evolutionary Finance. He is a founding partner of Behavioral Finance Solutions GmbH, BhFS, a spin-off company from the Universities of Zurich and Sankt Gallen and Swiss Fintech Innovations, an association of the banking and insurance industry in Switzerland. His consulting experience includes applications of behavioural finance in private banking and evolutionary finance in asset management.
dr. Wolfgang Kuhn
After several years on the board of directors of Südwestbank AG in Stuttgart, Bankhaus Bauer AG and the Stuttgarter Bank, Wolfgang has been an independent business consultant/developer and honorary consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg since 2019. He is chairman of the supervisory board of Concept AG in Stuttgart and a member of the supervisory board of Maschinenfabrik Berthold Hermle AG in Gosheim and SALytic AG, Cologne. He studied in Nürnberg and at the University of Washington in Seattle and holds professorships at the University of Leipzig. His consulting experience includes strategy and risk controlling in the trading sector and asset management, balance sheet structure management, supervision of supervisory and administrative board mandates of medium-sized industrial companies in various sectors, and corporate development and risk management.
As an independent Senior Advisor & Sparring Partner, Hans has successfully accompanied medium-sized to large multinational companies for over 30 years. His focus is on business model innovation and performance improvement. He started his career in production and development in the mechanical and electrical engineering industry. He then headed the marketing, sales and technical support of a large computer retailer in Switzerland before joining KPMG, where he was responsible for industrial, and IT projects. He helped build up the EMBA in SCM at the ETHZ and was chairman for many years.
Bernhard had various management and board roles within the automotive industry during the last four decades. His responsibilities include Board Member Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG and CEO of Skoda Auto. He is a passionate entrepreneur and attended Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
Teresa’s career began in the family business and led her through stations at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Arthur Andersen and IBM Storage Solutions Marketing USA. Since 2000, she has been running her own company, T.V.T swissconsult gmbh, which advises companies of all sizes and industries in innovation, product and service development, and design implementation. In addition, she teaches innovation management as a lecturer at the HSLU and the ZHAW in CAS and MAS courses. In January 2012, Mandl was awarded the title of “Business Newcomer of the Year” by the Swiss magazine “Women in Business”. She is also an award winner and member of the GenerationCEO network of female managers.
Tecla is a seasoned general manager with 25 years of entrepreneurial experience in Financial Services and Technology.
Having studied economics, Stefan worked at Deutsche Bank before leading the M&A business of a large insurer. Over the last 20 years, he founded and led his own private equity company that he still supervises as Chairman. Focus are large SMEs in Europe.
